I am a trustee at the Worcester Arts Workshop and we are looking for additional trustees, especially those with useful skills and connections. More details below:

New trustees needed

Worcester Arts Workshop is seeking 3-4 new Trustees to join our board and support an exciting period of development over the next 4 years. Our board members are active and knowledgeable and led by Chair- Anne Hannaford. We would welcome new trustees with skills and connections in any of the following areas:

  • Financial expertise
  • Legal and HR expertise
  • Connections and/or profile within the Worcestershire area
  • Marketing, audience development and public relations
  • Capital building development
  • Arts and health/community development
  • Diversity and inclusion

And of course, we are seeking people who – as well as bringing this expertise and knowledge to the role –  will be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the arts and their importance in enriching life and communities.

About Worcester Arts Workshop

WAW is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. For over 40 years WAW has played a special part in the cultural life of the City of Worcester and County of Worcestershire, producing and promoting arts for and with professional as well as amateur artists and making arts that resonate with many communities.  Many arts professionals have first been inspired by experiences and training with WAW.

Over the last few years our programme in and around our HQ in Sansome Street, in central Worcester has included: visual arts classes, exhibitions, the promotion of professional touring theatre, a cinema club, music gigs and theatre shows that engage a range of audiences and participants.  The building has also been home to many local arts events and programmes – including student productions, youth theatre, and the work created by Vamos – a nationally renowned theatre company who are resident there.

WAW are working to a new business plan for 2018 with ambitious aims to ensure the long-term future of the company and the renewal of its characterful base in Sansome St., Worcester.
